Co-founder of GPS, Former professional baseball player. Brandon Puffer was drafted out of high school by the Minnesota Twins in the 27th round of the 1994 Major League Baseball Draft. A relief pitcher, he played in the Major League Baseball Organization for 14 ½ years for the following organizations from 1994 to 2008. Major League Teams: Houston Astros, San Diego Padres, Boston Red Sox, and San Francisco Giants. Minor League Teams: Texas Rangers-Express, Pittsburgh Pirates, Oakland Athletics, Somerset Patriots, Colorado Rockies, Cincinnati Reds, California Angels, and Minnesota Twins. Brandon trained under Tom House, Mike Maddux, and Jim Hickey amongst others. Father of 6.
Co-founder of GPS Current Los Angeles Angels Scout, former professional baseball player. Brian played for the Texas Rangers and New York Yankees of Major League Baseball, as well as SK Wyverns and Samsung Lions of the Korea Baseball Organization in South Korea. Gordon was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 7th round of the 1997 Major League Baseball draft as an outfielder. Brian played in the Major League Baseball Organization for 17 years for the following organizations from 1997 to 2014. Major League Teams: Texas Rangers, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Yankees; Minor League Teams: Anaheim Angels, Salt Lake Stingers, Double-A Corpus Christi Hooks, Venezuelan Winter League: iburones de la Guaira, Korean League: SK Wyverns, Samsung Lions.
Ryan an American former professional baseball outfielder. Langerhans was drafted in the third round of the 1998 Major League Baseball draft by the Atlanta Braves, and made his debut with them in 2002. He has also played in Major League Baseball for the Oakland Athletics, Washington Nationals, Seattle Mariners, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and Toronto Blue Jays. Langerhans attended Round Rock High School in Round Rock, Texas. During the 1996 season, Langerhans batted .442 and was selected to the All-State team. His next season, 1997, Langerhans batted .427 and was again selected to the All-State team. That season, Langerhans also won 11 games as a pitcher. During his senior season in 1998, Langerhans batted .512, was named to the All-State team, was selected as a Nike All-American, was selected to play in the 1998 Texas High School All-Star Game and was named Texas Player of the Year.
Gavin has over 20 years of professional baseball experience in and around baseball. Drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 32nd round of the 1997 MLB June Amateur draft and the Houston Astros in the 33rd round of the 1998 MLB June Amateur draft. Recognized as one of the Houston Astros top prospects. As an agent of Shelby Miller, MLB All-Star, represented first round draft picks, Brandon Finnegan, Andrew Cashne and David Peterson. Represented MLB clients: Jimmy Nelson, Kyle Crick, Nathan Karnes, Adam Morgan and many more.
Coach Bart Bratcher feels very privileged to have played for Bobby Moegle at Monterey High School and for Dutch Schroeder at Baylor University. Coach Bratcher's career includes 4 years at Brazosport High School, 5 years at Irving High School and 33 years at Westwood High School. Bratcher’s teams gained 25 playoff appearances and Final Four appearances in ’76, ’86, ’88 and 2002. His teams earned 811 victories in the competitive Texas high school baseball landscape. Over 130 of his players continued their careers at the collegiate level, 12 played professionally at some level and 18 have coached baseball at some level. Bratcher served the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association as President, Vice-President, Regional Director, All Star director, founder and chairman of the Hall of Fame through the years. Bart was a co-founder and President of the Austin Area Baseball Coaches Association and a founder of the Austin Area All Star Game held at Dell Diamond each June. He founded the JET Baseball non-profit organization which sponsored an Austin summer baseball team called Jet and JET has allowed Bratcher to serve the Zimbabwe Baseball Association. Bratcher has worked with teachers, coaches and players in Zimbabwe while on faith-based baseball trips to Africa. He was inducted into the Texas HS Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame. He and his wife, Debbie, are blessed with two sons, Lee and Stephen. COACH DON FRY
Coach Don Fry has 30 years of high school coaching experience. Coach Fry was the Pflugerville High School coach for 18 years, he was the second-winningest coach in District 16-5A, he had won over 400+ games. Before coming to Pflugerville in 1994, Fry was a pitching coach at North Shore High in Houston for eight years and a head coach at Sugarland Clements for three years.
Coach Montgomery has 22 years of high school coaching experience from Westlake High School, Regents School of Austin and is also an English Teacher. Jeff attended Howard Payne University with a BA in English/Language Arts. In his spare time, he has been a youth minster with Life Austin Church since 2005. He is a member of the Texas High School Coaches and Baseball Coaches associations. Jeff grew up playing baseball and around sports all his life. As Jeff says, “the kids may not hit it out of the park, but they can go up to the plate with a bat and the tools to prepare themselves for success.”
